We have two internship programmes here at Mallory Group working across our brand partnerships and sports partnerships divisions – one with a focus on experiencing work in PR and Communications and one within partnerships sales and marketing.

Our internship programmes will give successful graduates the ideal base and experience to step in to a full time role, either here at Mallory Group (if a role becomes available) or at other creative partnerships agencies.

PR and Communications

If you are fascinated by all things media and intrigued by what makes a good story, how to pitch to journalists, how to secure coverage in the traditional media and how to create social and digital media campaigns then this could be the internship for you.

Supported by the full Mallory Group team, you’ll learn everything about campaign management, from concept to completion and a lot in between.

Our clients are a mix of lifestyle and sport-focussed clients so the work will be varied. You don’t have to be an avid sports fan as sometimes the best storytelling is developed from the freshest eyes.

Requirements
  • A passion for telling great stories: inspiring the people we are looking to reach with ideas that gets them, and you excited is a critical part of our work
  • Strong English language writing skills: you’ll be working with the team to write pitches to journalists, inspiring clients with engaging ideas and social content to grab attention
  • An excellent knowledge of all social and digital media platforms – you don’t need to know the algorithms, but be a user of some if not all of Instagram, Snapchat, Reddit, Facebook, YouTube etc
  • Creativity in abundance. You probably already share with your friends ads, articles, images and videos you have seen and we need you to have an opinion about why you love or hate them. We might not always agree, but want to be having the conversation
  • An inquisitive nature to not only be constantly learning from the team around you but also to be conducting desk research and reading articles to provide insights about the people we want to reach and topics for our clients to consider
  • Organisation down to a tee. You’ll be planning events and campaigns and so need to be able to manage schedules, travel and action lists with excellent attention to detail
  • Confidence! You’ll be experiencing hitting the phones to be selling in stories to target journalists (don’t worry, we’ll train you in how to do it first), joining client meetings and networking within the industry – a big smile, firm handshake and the ability to listen and learn is really important
  • Excellent computer skills. We spend a lot of time developing great looking decks and presentations in keynote and sometimes PowerPoint, and also use Excel and Word
  • Great positive attitude. We are a small team in London with a global network of associates – you’ll be working alongside people from all walks of life, experience, culture and disciplines. It’s never a dull moment. We work closely together to help each other develop their ideas and are always up for a challenge.
  • Duties may change over time, so the need for flexibility is key and the job-holder will be expected to co-operate with reasonable changes

1 March 2020 for six months
